I have a crap double pedal that everyone starts out on, and am now looking to upgrade, I would like to know what is the best pedal for metal, such as slipknot, and screamo type stuff. I love Axis, Iron Cobras are cool, but I haven't tried or hared anything about the demon drive(pearl)
Can anyone suggest the best pedal or a better on than i have metioned

Hello Jalen
I have played every pedal under the sun. DW9000, Demon Drive, Trick,
Eliminators and Axis.
Trick: pedals have way way to many moving parts lots of stuff can go wrong and you'll have to replace it.
DW9000: I have seen people break the cams in them, they are solid but you can't adjust the spring tension real real tight so the reaction is to slow for my liking
Demon drive: is the imitation of the Axis, it is very very smooth but it's to big and "clunky" also the springs are very soft not enough reaction.
AXIS: is what I use myself they look very very very very basic, you do not have to do any maintenance on it. they only have one setting, the only thing you adjust on it is the springs they can get so so so so tight that you have to use a lot of muscle to strike the bass head and it reacts faster than anyone can play. Tim Waterson, George Kollias and Derek Roddy are all at 280 bpm and they play full spring tension.
if you want to see them in action go to my profile and check it out. also in one of the videos I'll play 16ths at 182 bpm, so you can see how well they react

sounds like a waste of money and area. i assume it is stable in case you needed to do countless issues for various songs yet even then you definately could constantly in basic terms use your appropriate foot on a double pedal.
