ok i have been learning to play guitar through this dvd and it works but when i look up music i cant read it?

the dvd really helps but i feel as if its not teaching my how to read music like when i look up music from this accoustic versino ove this song i like i have no cue wat im looking at. i love the music and really want to play music but how do i read it to see wat im loooking at to explain to me go to google and type in cassie by flyleaf guitar music and click the second selection. thanx much!!!!!!!!!

their are tabs and their are sheet music

tabs= their are six lines, resembling the six strings. the top line is the high E string and the bottom line is the low E string. now you will see numbers on these lines, these numbers tell you which fret to place your finger on, the closer the numbers, the faster it is.
