Don't waste your money

First of all, in the US auditions NEVER cost money so anyone trying to make you pay to audition for someone is not legit

Second, as Cogito says, even if it was free and legit you'd be wasting your money on a flight and hotel as NO agent or casting director could book you on a job anyway. There is NO way to get a visa to act in the Ud unless you are already considered an 'established' actor in your own country who has been represented by an agent for at least a year AND has either received awards or critical acclaim in the media

Third, if you told US immigration officials you were coming to the US for an audition and didn't have a P or O visa in your passport, you would not even be allowed to enter the country and would be returned home. It's ILLEGAL to work or look for work (and auditions count as looking for work) if you do not have a work visa before coming to the US

As you're talking about £, I assume you're in the UK.

The problem is that there is no point whatsoever in being in a showcase in the USA unless you're living there as a permanent resident, have a long-term work permit and all the other vital paperwork.

No agent over there could sign you, you couldn't audition for anything and you couldn't be cast in anything unless you're eligible to work there - and the Immigration authorities very rarely accept actors.

So it would be a complete waste of money.
