Im planning on buying it, what do you think, i plan on changing the tuning machines, removing the pickguard maybe, and putting a Super Distorsion DiMarzio in the bridge, here is the link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990s-Ebony-Black-Gibson-les-paul-studio-with-SKB-case-/221172282128? don't say ITS HORRIBLE! say why it is, cuz im planning on buying a guitar polisher or something to take the scratches away, putting new strings, cleaning it, cleaning the fretboard and everything, i feel like after i set it up and a guitar tech fixes it, it will sound and look really great, what do you think?

You should be able to polish the front up to look just fine. The worming on the back wouldn't concern me since no one will see it anyway. People pay big money to have some one relic their guitars, so I wouldn't think twice about buying a guitar with some scratches. The Studio is an excellent guitar. Hell I paid big money for a brand new Bill Nash relic that looks like it's been banged around since 1963.

Honestly I hate les Pauls and think they are ugly, that being said it matters what it sounds like and how well it works, I love scratched up chipped guitars, and I hate black guitars, but hey if you love it get it, worn guitars have the most personality

You need not concern yourself with what it looks like on the outside, how does the wiring and such look? You might be buying a shinny acoustic guitar.
