Hi, so I've been playing guitar for a while now and I mostly play a Maton ER90C Acoustic/Electric and I'm looking into getting a Martin; Perhaps a GPCPA2 Mahogany or an OMCPA4... I have big hands, but short fingers, so I was also looking at the LX1E Ed Sheeran model (Partly because I'd like a mini, partly because I'm a huge Ed Sheeran fan.

So my question is do you play these guitars? would you reccomend them? and also do you play a really nice sounding guitar and what it it? I'm into Martins at the moment, but I like Maton and Taylor also.

Really, you are the best judge to find what you are looking for.

Because you at least have some experience already, and know just by the comfort of play and how the resonance of any guitar may come across for you.

While having to know Maton as your main interest, as it is an exclusive for those in Australia, and I have heard and seen Tommy Emmanuel play Matons when he performed. Great stuff, good guitars.

This guitar is very much like of quality, performance and playability as any Martin or Taylor, once you've discover this.

But to think you need something different or to upgrade with, try out some other models in the Maton line, or continue to try others that you alone come to feel is right for your present needs and desires.

There is so much, too much, on the market of which to choose from.

Sometimes the guitar your looking for finds you, which is why I always say play everything you can get your hands on, especially when looking for a high end guitar, If not for my Tacoma made Guild D55 I would have never known who the Tacoma guitar company was, in which case I would have passed right by my Tacoma DM9c as it looks so unassuming, but instead I took it off the wall and played it out of curiosity, at that moment I knew it was going home with me, this is by far my best playing and sounding acoustic guitar, Unfortunately notice I said who Tacoma was, as in past tense, not that you'd ever find one in Australia anyway, as they were a small little US company that got into some trouble and bought out by Fender just to build there newly acquired Guild guitars, long story, but it just goes to show if you know what your looking for and what you like the name on the headstock means very little, sometimes the guitar finds you.

I used to own a gpcpa4 rosewood and it was a great guitar. I sold it because I rarely played it plugged in and I always went for my d28 to play but in the few months I had it, it was really nice. The new owner loves it. . I would recommend that or the mahogany back and side model. I played both in store and both were great in there own way. Martin are my first choice in acoustics under £2 grand if I have that to spend on one.

In your search don't overlook Gretsch, The make some dynamite guitars. If you haven't found a nice one yet you will be very happy when you do. I used to be a Martin fan also, still am ,but ive got a couple Gretsch's and form all of my martins, fender's, Gibson's Taylors, and more......I find I am usualy picking up one of my Gretsch's to play. They sound beautiful.
