The boss Gt-10 allows me to have harmonies of any type.

Is it possible however to only hear one octave above what I am actually playing.

Ie, if I am playing at the third fret on the fifth string, I want to only hear the 15th fret note, on the third string, not both together as a harmony.

Not sure if this is possible on the GT-10 though.

It should be possible to set the harmony effect MIX level to 100% so that you only are hearing the effect and not the original note. You may have to scroll through some pages to find the correct page. Not sure why you would only want to hear the octave above, but to each his own. The GT-10 does have a patch that is similar to digitech whammy pedal that allows you to use the pedal to shift the pitch either up or down as much as an octave. You could also use that patch to achieve the effect you desire.

If that's what you want to hear.....just play the 15th fret! You don't need a pedal to play single notes at the octave.

As a guitarist, you will need to master ALL note positions.
