I use Garageband with a high quality audio interface for getting ideas out.

It's an entry level Apple program that's pretty powerful once you get to know it.

Those ideas can then be transferred to Logic Pro which is heavy weight

recording software. I've also recorded using Pro Tools. Both are industry

standard. And you won't go wrong with either of them. The difference comes

with the person who's doing the recording and how they're capturing the

performance. A high quality audio interface is a must. If the engineer doesn't

doesn't know what they're doing they won't get the most out of the software

or hardware.

Adobe and Apple. Adobe for recording hard sounds and legit sounds and apple for adding in cool effects and harmonys. Only complaint I have is the price it's $600 for each program. But other then that they are easy to use and great!

Adobe audition + Apple Logic Pro (for mixing and effects), but Adobe is best for actual noise reduction and professional output. Highly expensive, likely $650 for both.
