How do i start an acting career?

hey, I'm 12 years old and i live in Australia and i really want to get into acting, or is it to late to start a career? if not how do i get into acting, how do i get roles in movies? whats the best way to start acting? how do i know i'm a good actress? what makes a good actress? you don't need to answer all these questions... lol, thanks xx ;)

Becoming an Actress

Find every opportunity in your traveling distance that does Plays or Musicals. Check the schools and community groups as well as professional. Contact them and ask to be notified of any auditions.

If you do not get a part, offer to help in any way (paint scenery, usher etc.) Just being around the production you will learn a lot.

Study Dance, Music and Acting. You must be able to do at least one great and the others well enough to let the others work around you. Find classes or instructors that have produced talent.

Work on your image. You have to be a go getter, with lots of confidence and at the same time come across as humble.

Develop work ethics. Never be late. Never be absent. Always be attentive. Always show respect for others, even when you do not think they deserve it.

If and when approached by a talent agent or agency. Check them out carefully. If you are too young to sign a contract, remember your parents will need to be very involved.

Acting or any type of show business is a tough career--and folks who make it their careers usually have second jobs like waiting on tables at a restaurant or something. Go to local theater companies and try out for plays. The best way to break into acting is to act.

I'd say wait until you turn about 17-18.Until then take a lot of acting classes.I say wait because Australia doesn't seem to have a bunch of agency's..If you happen to have a parent commit and take you to LA set up and interview with an agency everything should be take care of.

im a 15 yr old Aussie 2 and the best way to start is to attend local classes and work your way up, get a manager and see what happens

No suggestion.. im looking to do the equal for Pittsburgh.. simply get a reserving agent and audition like loopy quickly you as an actor will develop, and marketers come to legit theater performs doesnt imply it needs to be broadway, however believe me simply audition for materials that you simply feel will make you positive..
