I'm just learning to play the guitar. I can play all open chords, and notes. A few easy guitar songs, like 'Angel from Montgomery.

What is the best choice for a beginner guitar. I'm considering Yamaha or Takamine. Electric/Acoustic would be best. Price ranger $200 - $400 Australian Dollars.

The one you've picked is a great guitar. Takamine guitars tend to have thinner necks and lower action (the distance between the strings and the fretboard) than Yamahas, so that would make it easier to move around between chords comfortably. I'm partial to Ibanez guitars for that reason.

The best thing you could do is go to a guitar store and test drive a bunch of different models, since each one will have its own feel. I did that when I was shopping for an acoustic-electric a couple years ago, since I have small hands and struggle to play guitars with fat necks. For me, Takamine and Ibanez were the most user-friendly. Everyone had been recommending Epiphone, Gibson and Martin, but I found those cumbersome to play, even though they're very nice guitars. But one person's dream guitar is another's nightmare, so I followed my own instincts.

If it's not possible to get to a guitar store, the Takamine is a pretty safe bet. Takamines are well-built, have very clean sounding electronics, and are often nicer than guitars costing twice as much. There's a reason so many people who play solo acoustic shows favor them over the more pricey brands. Good luck!

Yamaha doesn't make a very good guitar period. Takamine on the other hand makes very nice guitars if you can afford a real one not a Jasmine. here's another option that I recommend for those who plan to keep them forever and are serious about learning.

a million. electric powered or acoustic? 2 diverse animals. It relies upon on you and how lots music you % to play. i be attentive to you pronounced $$ became an argument, yet down the line it is beneficial to contemplate that maximum intense guitarists very own the two. 2. What could be a good much less costly guitar? cost has little or no to do with it. in case you're only beginning out you % an device with a rapidly neck and robust intonation. If the action is purely too intense you will kill your arms attempting to verify. a good guitarist could make a $50 guitar sing, and a awful guitarist could make a $6,000 guitar sound like crap. (it isn't any longer the guitar) 3. Is it well worth discovering to examine music over Tabs? Guitar enjoying, (or any device) is approximately making music. music is all with reference to the ears; listening, listening to, feeling. you do no longer % eyes to get exhilaration from and make music. i've got huge-unfold quite a few people who studied music each and each of how with the aid of college, have been given A's, graduated with tiers, and can't play an device well worth a crap. i be attentive to much greater people who could no longer aid you be attentive to an A from a B, 0.5 be conscious from a G cleff, yet can play circles around maximum of their friends. 4. I even have given training in the previous yet gave up. If somebody desires to verify an device they are going to study it. There are no short cuts. purely because of the fact which you're paying somebody does not recommend you will study any swifter. training are a million% somebody else showing or telling you what to do, and then ninety 9% you doing it over, and over, and throughout returned (practising). with or without training, it boils right down to you enjoying - as much as possible. in case you haven't any longer have been given the desire to try this, each and all the money wasted on training in the international won't help.
