How do you tell what size a guitar is?

I recently found an acoustic guitar in my basement, but I can't tell if it's proper size or a 3/4 model for youth. There aren't any markings on it identifying what size it is, but considering I last used it when I was around 10 or younger, it very well could be. Short of comparing it to another guitar, is there any way I can determine what kind it is? Thanks

You count the frets. I'm not sure how many are on electric but a full size acoustic has around 20-23. I'd assume a 3/4 has 17-18.

sure, it truly is, however that's annoying to play for a 12 12 months old. The strings are gonna be a lil intense off the be stressful board. save up a splash extra money to get a miles better guitar. You get what you pay for. look into Takamine or Epiphone.

Guitars are measured by their "scale length", which is the entire vibrating portion of the string. Anything between 22" and 25" is considered a full-sized instrument.
