My parents got me a first act guitar as a present for Christmas and I've heard rumors about it being the worst possible thing to get. But I play it and people say it sounds really good and to be honest I think it sounds good too. I switched the strings on it with another guitar and got it to a good input/output and distorted level. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice about this?

Made at the same factory by the same assembly line workers as the Asian Made Fenders everyone raves about, same guitar different logo on the headstock, Most people don't even know who First Act is, In reality there a little custom shop in Boston MA. that makes some very nice guitars, they just copied Fender and outsourced they're low end models to China. Surprised? everyone does it. If I had my choice I'd take the custom shop FA over a US made Fender any day . Oh wait I have a few custom shop FA's and a few Fenders, The FA's kick there butt's, In other words don't go by the name on the headstock but how the guitar plays.

Advice about what? You don't say what the problem is - you say only good things about your guitar.

Honestly those guitars are horrible, I had one and it could never sound good. But if yours does keep it.

If you like it.......What's the problem? Play it til you don't like it anymore. You can still learn on it.
