Problem with my guitar or amp?

I bought an Ibanez Gio a few years ago and it doesn't work with my Crate amplifier or this old Fender amp I borrowed from a guy. When I play the lowest E string it makes a low sound, and when I play the highest E string it makes a low sound. (the same note). It did the same with both amps! Is it my guitar or just bad luck? If it's my guitar could I get it fixed?

In all of my 45 years of playing guitars, I have never once even HEARD of this happening. Forget the amps, I'm sure they're fine. Take your guitar to a guitar shop and have them figure it out.

First I would check the cord to the amp. Other than that, it sounds like your guitar has hit a sour note. Have it checked at your local repair shop.

sounds like a bad pickup. or corroded "pots" (volume or tone)

try switching to a different pick up (if you have more than one)

maybe a bad chord, have you tried a different one? (from guitar to amp, LOL)

also, check the nut and action, maybe something changed.

Ive had this happen a couple times when using crappy cables. Just buy a DiMarzio cable or a monster cable and your problem should be fixed
