I've been wondering If I should keep these special skills on my resume, or if I should leave them off for now ?... Well, I'll give you a little backround on each one :)

Singing: Been in choir since I was 3, and musical theatre since I was 6. And I'm a 2nd Saprano

Violin: I've been laying since I was 2, but stopped when I was 12 because I wanted to focus more on
an acting, but I can pick it back up easily :)

Volleyball: I was on a 7th grade middle school A team when I was 11. And I can now still play
even though I'm 17 but haven't done it much since then, but I've played with my friends like
at parties, and on the beach :)

Horseback riding: I've been taking it off and on since I was 14, and I was starting to trot, I'm not the
best at it, but I can do it. And I was getting better, and it was English riding :)

Swimming: This skill I feel like I can do really well, I've been swimming since before I was 1,
and my teacher's said that'd I'd do really well in competitions, and I can do all four
stroke's not so much the back stroke but I can do it, if I just practice more. I can do,
Freestyle, breast stroke (aka frog kick), butterfly, and back stroke :)

Rock climbing: I've been to a few parties where they teach you how to climb, and I can do it ok I think:)

Jazz Dance: Again, I've been taking it off and on since I was 14, and I was learning basic Jazz
technique's such as, leaps, turns etc...

So what do you guys think?.. What should I keep?.. Oh and by the way, I don't list it like this, with all
the information after each one. I just list the skill. But what do you think?.. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE :)

Remember, your resume has to be truthful. Sometimes people stretch things a little, but often people will doing the hiring will check into things on your resume and if they find out you have lied that's it.

Saying that, you want to put stuff on there that is related to acting i.e. anything arts-related such as jazz dance, choral singing (it is soprano, typos are really bad on a resume too), violin (just up the ages you played). You cannot flutenly speak French or Spanish so don't include them in your main list.

Then you can include:

Other hobbies include: horseback riding, swimming, volleyball, and learning new languages.

That way you can include the other things, but you aren't boring the person reading the resume with info that isn't important to the career you want yet you can show them that you are well rounded and interested in several things.

You can send your resume wherever you want, but I suggest that if you are really interested in acting that you do the following: get involved in your school's drama club or school play; get involved in community theatre; if you can, go for auditions as auditioning is hard and takes practice and the more practice you have the better.

Good luck!

All resumes must be published on white or off white"resume paper". It is a heavier paper, customarily with a watermark. If you move to Staples, Office Depot and many others. it's offered as "resume paper" and likewise has envelopes in a package or offered individually. The stuff that expenditures $eight is as adequate because the $30 stuff. You must problem your self extra with different matters concerning your resume ; find it irresistible must be one web page !PERIOD! (it would finally end up directly within the trash whether it is longer) Keep it as brief and candy as viable. however make certain it involves a proper telephone quantity for your self, and be certain so as to add telephone numbers and dates for prior employers. Check your spelling. Don't say "I or me" style matters greater than you MUST. Do now not use a ten factor font, best humans with unique imaginative and prescient can learn it with out squinting. 12 is well, 14 is perfect if you'll align it safely and also have room for the whole thing. All of this may occasionally sound primary, and dumb that I am pronouncing all of it out loud................however you might be amazed. I am a supervisor. I have employed humans, fired humans and written a few resumes for others.

Honestly, I would leave off the sports, they really don't affect your acting abilities. I would put on the resume your jazz dance experience, the singing and violin playing (only if you do pick it up again).

I think that you should definitely list choir and jazz dance, and you should mention all of the sports, but focus on how they taught you things relevant to acting like teamwork
