The understudy for the understudy. If the lead and the understudy's not there, the swing takes the role.

It really depends what you mean by swing.
The first that I think of is in music, specifically jazz. This is when you play two eighth notes but instead of playing them straight, you play the first slightly longer than the second. It actually ends up being more like 3/4 of a beat and then 1/4 of a beat rather than 1/2 of a beat and 1/2 of a beat.
The other that I can think of is a type of dance. If you watched So You Think You Can Dance when they had Benji on there, you can see a pretty good example. I've never personally danced swing, but it looks like a lot of fun.

Swing is a style of music/dance. But it's also a kind of understudy role. Generally a swing can fill in for several different parts if necessary (usually for chorus/dancing).
